Questions
Asked by people who've never had AC.
My house has never had air conditioning. Can it be added?
Almost always. If a gas furnace already sends air through ducts to each room, a heat pump or air conditioner can often use them. If there are no ducts, ductless mini-splits or a small-duct high-velocity system can cool the house without new full-size ductwork. We look at the building and recommend one.
Do I have to replace my furnace to get cooling?
Not necessarily. An air conditioner or heat pump can be added alongside a working furnace, which stays as the heat source or as backup. If the furnace is near the end of its life, replacing both at once can make sense, and we will say so.
Will my electrical panel handle it?
It depends on the panel and what else it already runs. Older panels sometimes need an upgrade before cooling is added. We check on the estimate visit and tell you before any work is agreed.
Do you work on businesses as well as homes?
Yes. Shops, offices, studios, clinics and restaurants: rooftop units and split systems repaired and maintained, and cooling added to commercial spaces that were only ever heated.
Does Clearview do painting or coatings?
No. Coatings is part of the business name, not the trade. Clearview does heating, ventilation and air conditioning only.
